Akam Puzzle ("Akam", "we", "us") provides an online jigsaw-puzzle app and downloadable puzzle widgets. For the purposes of data-protection law, the data controller is:

When a feature lets you add a photo — for example in the downloadable widget — it is processed entirely in your browser, on your device. The image is never transmitted to our servers; our puzzle engine only receives a few abstract numbers (piece count, image dimensions, a random seed) needed to compute the cut. A copy may be kept in your browser's local storage on your device so you can resume a puzzle — this stays on your device, under your control, and you can clear it at any time (see §7).
Purchases are handled by Paddle. If you buy our downloadable puzzle widget, the sale is processed by Paddle (paddle.com), acting as the merchant of record — Paddle is the seller you transact with. Your name, email and payment details are collected and held by Paddle under Paddle's own privacy policy; we never receive or store them. When you download your purchase, our server checks your receipt number with Paddle at that moment and keeps no record of it.
For transparency: the widget file you download carries your receipt number inside it, so that a file can be matched to its purchase if you contact support. That marker is in your copy of the file, on your device — not in any database of ours (we have none).
To deliver and protect the site, our hosting/CDN provider Cloudflare automatically processes standard request information such as IP address, approximate location, and browser type for security, fraud prevention, and reliability. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure service (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). We do not run analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts.
If you browse the built-in gallery, some sample photos load directly from third parties (Unsplash, the Art Institute of Chicago, Wikimedia); your browser requests them from those services, which may process your IP under their own policies. Your own photos are never sent to any third party.
We use your browser's local storage (not advertising cookies) to remember your preferences and let you resume a puzzle. This data is essential to the features you use, stays on your device, and can be cleared anytime via your browser settings.
We hold no customer data, so there is none to share. The services involved in running Akam Puzzle each process data under their own policies: Paddle (payments, as merchant of record) and Cloudflare (hosting and security). We would disclose information only if required by law.
We keep nothing. Purchase records are kept by Paddle under its own retention rules. On-device data (images, preferences, saved puzzles) stays in your browser until you clear it — we never receive it.
Depending on where you live (e.g. under the GDPR), you have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, and port personal data. Because we hold no customer data, most requests will be about your purchase record, which Paddle holds — we will help you route any request to Paddle, or you can contact them directly. To exercise any right or ask anything, email info@akampuzzle.com; we respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
Our providers (Cloudflare, Paddle) operate globally and rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses where required.
Akam Puzzle is a general-audience app and is not directed to children under 13. Playing is anonymous, and purchases are intended for adults. If you believe a child has provided personal data to a service connected with Akam Puzzle, contact info@akampuzzle.com.
Everything we serve travels over HTTPS. Because your photos and play data never leave your device, the most privacy-critical data never touches a network at all. No method of transmission is 100% secure, but our design keeps the sensitive part out of transit entirely.
